The Resorts Casino Hotel in Atlantic City made a much welcomed announcement in February that it plans to launch an online gambling site. The platform will launch in the state of New Jersey only, in a partnership with some of the gaming greats – SNG interative, which is already a merger between Sportech and NYX gaming group.
This new move will see the Resorts Casino Hotel’s venture become just the 6th online gaming service to have launched in New Jersey. Before the new platform can successfully launch, it must undergo a testing period. A soft launch was made at the end of February so that a week-long testing and monitoring period could begin, overseen by the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement (DGE). In order to become available for players to start signing up, the site must not have any major faults regarding geo-restriction – which is particularly important as many other states don’t allow online gambling at all – as well as no fault found with their verification process for new players or payment processing system. If all of these are in good order and it’s deemed that no underage, excluded or restricted players can join, and that players can deposit and withdraw money safely and effectively, then ResortsCasino.com will be able to fully launch to players.
